2 Weddings and a Broken Camera

Day 1 - Monday the 8th - San Jose/NYC - 06:30 (gmt -8)
First we needed to leave San Jose airport, which would have been easier if American Airlines hadn't decided to move up our departure time 20 minutes, and SJC could actually handle security screening fast enough. So coupled with a early morning flight, and an inability on my part to get moving in the morning, we got to the airport with about 50 minutes before our flight to JFK was supposed to leave. Or at least we thought, we were told that the flight had been moved up a bit, and that we were going to miss it. However, due to luck and planning on Neeley's part, our connecting flight to Frankfurt involved a 4 hour lay over, and the next flight was in 3 hours. We were booked on it, and our luggage was checked all the way to Paris (CDG). Little did we know that this was going to cause more headaches then benefits....

We make it to JFK, and wandered over to the Lufthansa gate at JFK, got boarding passes, and found our gate. Only a little waiting, and we're happily in the back of the plane, all the way back (moo).... I took some shots out the window while we made our 6 hour journey to Frankfurt airport.

We landed in Frankfurt, trundled around, got our passports stamped, and moved up a level to catch our flight to Paris. Upon getting to the shopping area, we decided to eat breakfast. I picked out some sausage thing that is like American slimjims (but better). Neeley decided on a can of paprika pringles. MMMM, MMMM, good. The display boards had us at gate A1, which then changed to A32 after we had been waiting awhile. Another quick trek around, but no troubles. We caught the flight and 90 minutes later are leaving the plane for the Paris terminal. The first thing I saw was a French advertisement for "American Recipe Brownies". Welcome to Paris.

We got to the luggage area, and wait. And wait. And wait.... No luggage. This doesn't bode well, as last time Neeley was on Lufthansa, they lost her luggage, in both directions of her travel. This would make it 0 for 3 if they lost it again.
They did.
After some quick discussion, we provided information, and were given complimentary bags with razors, toothbrushes, and a white t-shirt. And told, "Don't worry, your luggage would arrive shortly" I was in a good mood, so I optimistically agreed with the person helping us. However, Neeley had her doubts.
