Neeley and I went to visit her sister and brother-in-law in London this past September. We travelled around the London area and acted like tourists. Included below are some shots from our trip.
First couple of days we spent getting rid of jet lag. A half-day of walking around the south bank to start. A trip to the Imperial War Museum on the second day. And a trip out to Stonehenge and Oxford on the third.

Earlier in the week we bought a book of "1000 things to do in London". In the list was an entry to check out the races on the weekends. Jarred and I decided to do something completely different, and experience small track races with something called "bangers". Banger racing is demolition derby on a tiny little track. Safety rules about roll bars, and reinforced driver doors, and less than 3 liters of gas(petrol) are enforced. Three laps without contact and then 17 more with any collisions allowed. Overall it was highly entertaining. I shot a video of one of the earlier Banger races. Early on in the day the drivers are less likely to be involved in collisions as they have 2-3 more races in the same car later in the day.
After the weekend of high octane excitement we travelled back into London. Stopping in both the Westminster Abbey and the Westminster Church. And ended the day with a trip on the London Eye, a giant enclosed ferris wheel, that gives you a 30 minute trip to see the London skyline from up high.
For our final days in the area we visited Kew Gardens, Richmond, Nottinghill and the BBC TV Studio tour. Unfortunately the TARDIS wasn't working that day, so we ended up having to take the plane back home to California.
