Love Parade - San Francisco - 24 Sep 2005

San Francisco Love Parade 2005. This was the second annual parade here in San Francisco. Lots of great people, and great music. The parade traveled down Market Str, down to the Civic Center park area. DJ's were playing the entire time, for trainspotters I noticed both cd's and vinyl being played, so there was definately some "Stabilization" being used to keep things from skipping while the trucks pulled the floats. People were encouraged to join the floats while they travelled down the street and dance while the music was playing.

Different floats had different people riding them, and playing a multitude of music. Quick genre checks included Goa, Trance, DnB, along with an assortment of SF Style beats. Even some older tracks were being played, as I heard Wink's - Higher State of Consciousness, in all its Acid glory.

DJ's were both serious and having fun at the same time. The parade moved on, with only a few troubles. The 2nd truck at the head of the parade had stalled at the beginning and people had to go around. Later another another float had problems and was pushed into place at the Civic Center. However, after all this, everything fell into place with no apparent major problems. People were having fun!

Mind the Bass Bins
The Spundae float had a prime location, with one of the larger sound systems, and a large crowd around it. Everyone was dancing.
